I recommended Vibe Coding to my friends, but they actually weren't interested

Hey everyone, I’m Kevin. Lately, my feed’s been packed with AI and vibe coding posts. Honestly, it feels like we’re completely swimming in AI right now.

Vibe coding has this incredible kick—like you’re literally rewriting the world with code. It’s just so damn fun. I’ve been trying it out myself and heavily recommending tools like Claude Code to swap out our old dev workflow, but the feedback I get covers a wild range:

1.“Most of my work is built around client requests, not standardized processes. AI coding just doesn’t move the needle for me.”

2.“Building and debugging with vibe coding takes extra time. Might as well just hammer it out myself. Plus, I don’t have the patience for AI quirks when they break mid-debug.”

3.“Claude Code doesn’t play nice over here. The local models keep burning through tokens—asked a few questions and already racked up a couple bucks. Not smooth yet.”

4.“Tried Work Buddy and similar tools, but I’m just that person with a three-minute attention span. Super hard to stick with it long-term.”

5.“Heard coworkers talking about AI at work. One guy was actually blown away: ‘How does [Name] even justify their paycheck when they’re using AI?’”

6.“I’ll check it out when I get a free moment. First, gotta go download it anyway.”

7.“I did whip up a quick formatting tool with AI, but haven’t really had a fresh dev task pop up lately.”

8.“My current gig just isn’t worth dropping extra cash on premium tokens or subscriptions.”
